[C.CC USERS] Problems transfering firmware to arduino

Hi Andreas,
This is a device that has the Atmega8u2 as opposed to an FTDI USB<->serial
chip. That may be why avrdude is failing; it assumes the 2560 has an FTDI
chip... meaning, our tools currently assume an OLD 2560, as opposed to a
NEW 2560.
Christian (Jacobsen): do we need to do anything special to upload to these?
Did you, at some point, get an Uno that has this chip, and we had changes
to make?
My question about bootloader information is still relevant, but my
suspicion is that it is the 8u2 that we're running into here, not the
bootloader (yet).
Cheers,
Matt
