We did, I have a tarball of stuff we've used for the blinkenlights demo 
that's waiting to be committed to the new and shiny repos.

I've written some pretty barebones hardware modules in C to access 
devices[1], it needs a bit of work (cleanup and SPI support) but we 
should be able to write some wrappers for them to get up and running 
quickly.
