I host lists on Dreamhosts, because it is point-and-click easy.

Do we need the VM? It would primarily be useful as a build host for a
buildbot or similar. That said, we could script the start and stop of
an Amazon instance for that kind of thing, if we really wanted to.

I think the question of the VM is not one I have an answer to right now.
