Hi Dave,

We're an open project, and we're happy to bring other people on-board.
There's lots of things that you can have a significant impact on. I'm
poking around to try and find *some* alternative funding in light of
the GSoC decision (not entirely surprising---we're new, and I'm not at
all upset), but please don't hold your breath on that.

That said, the answer is "gladly" and "yes." I'll be working with
students on some projects all summer, and having other people hacking
and doing things will be easy enough. That is to say, if you dive into
things, I know I (and Christian, and others on the list) will be happy
to help support you, and I can certainly serve as a regular point of
contact if that helps.

More specific answers to your questions may have to wait a day or
two---I'm launching into several days of oral exams with some of my
students, and that's going to consume a lot of time. However, that
ends Friday. You might look at http://baseplate.org/ideas/ as well,
which has some more ideas that the group has kicked around before (or
that I've cooked up myself).

Feel free to kick ideas around here, though. That's exactly what this
list is for, and we're glad to help.

More later...

Cheers,
Matt
