<br></div><div>It looks like I'll order four types of board:</div>
<div><br></div><div><div>* Mega 1280 with FTDI<br></div><div>* Mega 2560 with 8u2</div></div><div></div><div>* Uno 328 with 16/8u2</div><div>* Leo 32u4<br></div><div><div><br></div></div><div>
<br></div><div>Based on questions on the list, I'll tackle them in the above order. I've put the 1280/FTDI first because it should be a non-issue to get working once the build is reassembled. The 2560 could run into bootloader issues, depending on its age. The Leo might take a bit of work; I think we might need a new wrapper for the processor. I'm not sure how similar it is to the ATmega family. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I'll order two of each, so that if anyone comes along who wants to join in on testing firmwares on boards over time, I can mail one out as volunteers come along.</div><div> </div>
<div>Although it wasn't mentioned, I want to hold off on committing to the Due. I think its going to be a market flop; there are cheaper, more capable boards out there at this point. I want to get us on a good little ARM board, but the R-Pi is a much better space to be in (at the moment) I think. Which will be another (small) piece of work to get it rolled into the mix, but we'll get there. (Actually, just getting the Linux build up, and then built on ARM, will take care of that.)<br>

<div dir="ltr">Nope sounds about right.<br>From what I have seen these are the most popular boards/chips out there at the moment.<br> - Uno ATmega328 with Atmega16U2 or Atmega8U2 for serial.<br><div> - Leonardo ATmega32u4<br>

I "think" that's pretty complete.</div><div><br></div><div>I wouldn't look at any older than these (4 years support for old devices is enough?)</div><div><br></div><div>--</div><div>M<br><div><br>
