[C.CC USERS] Issues with Arduino Mega (ftdi 1280 version)

Hi Robert,

The 1280 should be "just fine." That's distressing to me.

I just moved from Allegheny to Berea College, and don't yet have an
office and/or lab---everything is in boxes. In fact, I suspect I don't
have a 1280-based board that I can put my hands on at the moment...

I'm going to order one or two Arduinos today (I now have network
access at home), so that I can help when a question like this comes
in. In the meantime...

1. The 1280 should not require the Python script.

2. Did you do the firmware upload first? I'm assuming you did.

3. Did you choose a 1280-based board in the plugin, as opposed to a
328-based board? This will affect how the code is compiled.

4. Is this an Arduino-official board, or is this a Seeed studio board
(or other)?

Those are a few questions I can think to ask off the top of my head.
Let us know on the list if those are all steps you've already taken,
and we'll get you rolling. I don't think anything changed recently
that would break a 1280 w/ FTDI, so this shouldn't be an issue.
