[C.CC USERS] First steps

Hi,

I've just downloaded the latest Windows build and tried it on my XP machine.
A couple of minor things:

The drop down list of serial connections is empty on start up.

The compiled programs appear to load okay to my Arduino Uno (i.e. the TX & RX leds flash nicely) but they don't run. I tried the first three example programs, each one failed to work.

Looking forward to finding out where the problem lies.
