[CCC DEV] Gedit 3?

Someday, I'd like to see JEdit go away as our "IDE." I don't know what
would be better.

Editra is pure Python, and could be hacked. GEdit is widely available,
and has as Python-based plugin architecture. My goal is to end up with
something easier to build, maintain/extend, and ship.

By "someday" I guess I mean "this could make a good summer project for
me." But, if anyone has any thoughts, it would be appreciated.
