Hi Fred,
Is it at all possible that you might write slightly more verbose
commit messages when committing code? "Minor change" or "various
updates" commit messages don't tell me why the changes were made, and
give me no indication of whether I now need to retest things on
non-desktop platforms (or what to test) to see that everything still
works.
Normally I'm less concerned, but changes in the compiler at this point
make me a bit more nervous, as we're gearing up to bundle and release
packages as part of our OSCON presentation. Slightly more verbose
commit messages would help those of us on the other side of the ocean
know what changed and why.
Cheers,
Matt
